EMERGANCY(Rachel)

Edward parked the truck and got out. He went to get a wheel chair before opening Rachel's door and taking her seat belt off for her. He opened the back door and got Britney from the carseat. Trigger had a healthcare vest on. He got Rachel's bag and got ready to head inside. Edward gave Britney Trigger's leash.

Krystal ran up after locking her truck. She was going to push Rachel inside to help her. "Okay, let's get you inside and ready to do this. I promise I'll stay right with you until it's over. Just like last time," she said. She remembered when Britney was born and she had almost gotten her hand broken.

Rachel nodded and whimpered softly as another contraction rippled through her body. Britney walked next to her daddy holding Trigger's leash.

Krystal pushed the wheel chair a little quicker than Edward was walking. She had to hurry encause she started the actual birthing progress out here.

Edward held Britney's hand. Trigger wagged his tail while carrying Rachel's bag.

Britney held her daddy's hand and the leash as she walked inside the hospital. Rachel closed her eyes and whimpered

Krystal told the nurse about Rachel. The nurse nodded and told Edward to sit in the waiting room with Britney and Trigger as she took the bag. Krystal pushed Rachel along behidn the nurse to the room.

Edward sat down and lifted Britney onto his lap. Trigger jumped into the chair beside them waiting.

Britney sat in her daddy's lap and looked at him. Rachel looked at Krystal

Edward smiled and gently kissed the top of Britney's head. "Once the doctor says we can go see mommy, you'll get to meet your new brother or sister," he said. Trigger leaned over and gently licked Britney's hand wanting his treat for being a good dog.

Britey smiled and nodded. She reached her hand into her bag and grabbed a dog snack.She gave it to Trigger. Rachel was now laying the bed and whimpered softly as a contraction rippled trhough her stomach.

Krystal took Rachel's hand in hers and was trying to relax her. "Remember how we did this last time. Breathe calmly and then when the doctor tells you, you have to push," she said. She was trying to help. The doctor was just entering the room now.

Edward smiled at the two. Trigger gently took the snack from Britney and ate it. He then laid his head on her lap gently and closed his eyes. He was tired.

Rachel nodded and looked at the doctor. On the inside she felt that something bad was going to happen during the birth of her son. Britney gently patted Trigger's head.

"Alright, Mrs. Mathews. It's time to start pushing. Let's bring your son into the world," he said. He was ready to help when he could. Krystal was ready to have an almost broken hand again.

Edward smiled. "I guess he's tired from being up most of the night playing with Luna outside," he said softly. Trigger sighed and stayed asleep. He was dreaming about Luna.

Rachel nodded and started to push. She felt that something was wrong with the baby and she pushed again. Britney nodded and continue to gently pet Trigger's head

[i]The doctor sensed something wrong. "Stop, pushing, Rachel. Let's do a quick ultra sound to see if the litte guy it turned properly," he said. Krystal looked at Rachel hoping she hadn't lost this baby.

Rachel nodded and stopped pushing. She whimpered in pain as a contraction rippled trough her stomach. "Edward." she whispered softly. She wanted Edward but he had to stay with Britney and Trigger.

The doctor nodded to Krystal. She looked at Rachel. "I'll go watch Trigger and Britney and have Edward come in here with you," she said. She let go of her hand and left the room. The doctor turned on the ultra sound machine ready to check on the little guy.

Edward looked up seeing Krystal. "Britney, for now you and Trigger can stay with Krystal. I need to go be with mommy," he said. He picked her up and then set her on Krystal's lap before leaving to go be in the room with Rachel. Trigger stayed fast asleep.

He entered the room and went right to her side and took her hand.

Britney nodded and looked at Krystal.Rachel nodded and looked at Edward. She closed her eyes and whimpered in pain as a contraction riplled through her stomach.

The doctor started the ultra sound and closed his eyes when he couldn't hear a heart beat or anything. "Rachel, there's no heart beat. I'm afraid you may have just lost your son," he said.


Krystal smiled at Britney. "Ready to be a big sister?" she asked.

Edward didn't know what to say about that. He sighed and leaned and gently kissed her forehead knowing this might be a shock to her.

Rachel started to cry and she whimpered. This was the second baby that she lost and it wasn't fair. Britney smiled and nodded.

"Hold on a second. I found it. Rachel, start pushing now. Edward keep her relaxed. All the stress is causing probablems. You will have a son but he might not be completely healthy like Britney was," he said. He moved back to his spot ready for the baby.

Krystal smiled at her. "James might not be a big brother for a while. But, he has you for a friend," she said.

Edward relaxed hoping if he relaxed she would. "Listen to the doctor. Relax and start pushing. Don't stop until he says to stop," he said.

Rachel nodded and she closed her eyes.She was relaxed and she started to push. She pushed again and took a deep breath. She pushed again. Britney smiled and nodded

"Keep it going Rachel. Your son is almost here," he said. He could already see the top of it's head.

Edward still held her hand and every few seconds was kissing her forehead.

She pushed and took a deep breath. She pushed again and took another deep breath. She gave a big push

The doctor smiled as the baby left his mom after the big push. "Rachel and Edward, you have a little boy. But, he has down syndrome," he said.

Edward smiled either way. He gently kissed her cheek as he watched a nurse take their son to clean him up and weight him in.

Rachel smiled softly and she felt tired. She looked at Edward and she had thought of a name for their son

Edward gently kissed her forehead. "It's all over now, Rachy. No more pain. After you see our son and Britney comes in to see him too, you can rest. I'll have Krystal take Britney home with her," he said. He had asked if a cot could be put up in the room so he didn't have to leave her.
