Too Little Too Late (Max)

Max nodded. "Okay. Krystal went to the stables to take care of the horse." he said.

(yeah but it would be funny if Max started to try rubbing up on him)

Edward sighed. "Well, I could call in sick and hang out here. Rachel said she was going to work Dreamer today," he said. He wouldn't mind spending today here with Max and James. Buddy was fast asleep. James got up and walked to the couch. "Hi, Britney," he said. Zach had fallen asleep.

Max smiled and nodded. "Okay." he said. Britney smiled. "Hi, James." she said smiling at her friend

James smiled. "Do you want to go play outside on my new swing set. My dad built it the other day," he said. Buddy was sound asleep. Zach was having a nice nap now. Edward sighed. "Actually I just remembered. I called in sick today to spend time with Britney and Zach as I hardly see them because of work," he said.

Britney smiled and nodded. "Sure." she said smiling. She got off the couch and waited for James. Max looked at him. "Oh. Do you want something to drink?" he asked.

James looked at Britney and headed outside to the swing set. He always liked to play on it. Edward looked at Max. "Sure, What have you got?" he asked. He knew the kids would be fine for now. Buddy whimpered in his sleep and sneezed. He didn't like being sick.

Britney followed James to the backyard and to the swing set. Max led Edward to the kitchen and opened the refigerator for him to look at the drinks that they got. Max took out a beer and opened it.

Edward looked at everything and decided to have a beer. He took one before shutting the fridge door. "So, are things going better for you and Krystal?" he asked. James got on his blue swing and started to swing.

Max sighed and took a drink of his beer. "Good. But Krystal can't have anymore kids." he said. Britey went to a swing and got on it. She started to swing

Edward sighed. "It must make her feel bad not being able to have more kids for you. Rachel and I have two beautiful kids and we're still happy," he said. James kept swinging on his swing and was actually having fun for once.

Max smiled softly. "I'm happy with her and I have one kid." he said smiling. He looked up at Edward.

"You never know, there could be a chance for a miracle. I once operated on a dog that had trouble with having a litter and fixed it. It could work you her if you wanted more kids," he said. He sipped at the beer after opening it. He was glad he decided to stay here and hang out for a while.

He nodded and took another sip of his beer. "I can suggest that idea to her." he said.

Edward sighed. "Well, it is up to her if she actually wants another baby. But, she would be in hospital for a week after the surgery," he said. James was having fun. He got off the swing and started building a sand castle.

Britey got off her swing and went to help James build his sand castle. Max nodded and looked outside. It was time for James to take his nap and he walked outside. He went to James and knelt down beside him. "James, once your done with building your castle with Britney its time for your nap." he said

Edward had followed Max outside. "Britney, same with you. Once your done time to go take your nap," he said. He knew Max wouldn't mind if Britney used the guest room for her nap. James was almost done anyways. "I'm almost done dad. Can I sleep in the guest room and have Buddy in there so he can sleep too?" he said. Buddy was slowly waking up from all the noise and whinnied.

Max smiled and nodded. "Sure you can, James." he said. Britney looked up at her daddy. "Okay, daddy." she said. She got up and looked at her daddy. Miley lifted her head and whinnied to Buddy.

James giggled and went inside to clean up. He was ready for his nap. Buddy had slowly gotten up and was pulling his bed to the spare room knowing Zach would be put in James' room in the old crib for his nap. Edward sighed. "Max, could I put Zach in the crib James used to sleep in for his nap," he asked. He wanted to make sure it was okay.

Max nodded. "Sure you can." he said. Briteny got up and followed James inside. She went to the guest room and went to the bed. She sat down and looked around. Miley watched Buddy and rested her head and the puppies laid down next to their mom.

Edward followed the kids inside and went to lay Zach down for his nap in the crib. James got on the guest room bed and grinned. "The bed won't bite, Britney," he said. Buddy was already laying right at the pillows in the middle so he could sleep with them.

Briteny looked at James. "I know that." she said and she went got under the blanket. She yawned and closed her eyes. Max followed Edward inside and went to the living room.

James went to sleep on the side he had taken. Edward had closed the doors to both rooms. Buddy stayed between Britney and James while he slept. Edward went to the living room and sighed. "Now, that's taken care of. I just don't know what to do now," he said.

Max sighed. "I don't know what to do either." he said

Edward sighed. "Maybe just sit and relax while they nap and think about something they can eat for lunch," he said.

Max nodded and sat down on the couch next to Edward. He looked at Edward and before he knew it he was kissing Edward's lips.
