Too Little Too Late (Max)

"Okay. But, where's my Miley?" he said. He wanted his dog. Buddy curled with Miley and their puppies. Krystal was awake but was sick. She was wanting to go to the stables today and show Rachel the puppies.

"Miley is with Buddy and the puppies." he said. Max went to the kitchen and got James's breakfast ready.

James smiled. "I thought I heard another doggie outside last night," he said. Buddy liked her face and started to play with the three pups that were half wolf.

Max nodded. "Breakfast is ready, James" he said. The 9 puppies started to play with eachother while the other 3 puppies played with Buddy.

Buddy whinnied softly and got a little rough with the three wolf pups knowing they'd like it. He was wagging his tail fast. Krystal got up and pulled on some clothes and went to watch Miley, Buddy and all the puppies. James walked to the table and sat in his booster seat. "Daddy, can we go to the stable today. And take the dogs and puppies. Well, except for Shooter," he said.

Max smiled. "Sure we can." he said smiling. Miley gently licked the puppies and the wolf puppies were having fun playing with their dad. MiMiley's puppies stopped playing with eachother and watched the other puppies play with their dad. Miley gently nosed her puppies and licked them. The puppie started to enjoy the attention that they were getting from their mom.

James smiled and giggled. He was one happy little boy. "Can we have a picnic lunch there too," he asked. Buddy played more with the wolf pups and got up and moved a little bit away hoping they'd pounce on him. Krystal sat watching all of this and she ran her hand down Miley's back.

The three wolf puppies pounced ther dad playfully and one of Miley's puppies went to Krystal. Miley's other puppies were enjoying the attention from their mom. Mac smiled and nodded. "Yes, we can and maybe Britney and Zach will be their with their parents." he said

"Yeah, I like that idea daddy," he said. He hoped no one brought peanut stuff as his mom was allergic to it and so was he. Buddy played more with the wolf pups. Krystal picked up the little puppy and gently petted it back and tickled it's belly.

The puppie wagged it's small tail and gently licked the human's nose. The other puppies went to Krysal so they can get attention from the human, too. Miley rested her head and watched the puppies. Max smiled and grabbed s picnic basket. He grabbed a couple of water bottles and put them in the basket. He looked at James. "What would you like to be put into the basket?" he asked

"Watermelon and chips," he said. He had finished his breakfast. Buddy watched the puppies. Krystal gently gave each puppy attention. "Miley, how would you like to show Rachel, Edward, Britney and Zach your puppies today," she asked.

Miley waged her tail and barked happily a that idea. Max smiled and nodded. He packed watermelon and chis into the basket. He packed food that didn't have peanuts in them and he closed the basket. He looke at James. "Go get ready and I'll go check on your mom." he said

James went to his room to get dressed. He wanted to ride Marley today. Krystal was enjoying giving the puppies more and more attention. She was happy for Buddy and Miley. Buddy walked over and licked the puppies and then licked Miley's face.

Max put James's bowl in the sink and went to the bathroom. He smiled. "James is getting ready and I have a picnic basket for us. We are going to the stables today." he said. Miley gently licked Buddy's face and looked at the puppies.

"Alright, we can take the dogs and puppies too. I bet Rachel would love these puppies," she said. She was feeling okay today. But, she didn't tell him about her feeling sick. Buddy looked at Max and barked softly.

Max smiled and nodded. "I bet she would." he said smiling. Max looked at the dogs and smiled. "I'll go get ready." he said. He left the bathroom and went to the bedroom. He change into jeans, a button down shirt, his cowboy boots and he put on his cowboy hay. He walked out of the bedroom and went back to the bathroom.

She smiled seeing him changed. She always liked seeing him in his cowboy boots and his hat. She was almost biting her lip to control herself. Buddy had gotten up and was helping put the puppies into a basket to carry them.

James was in his room getting dressed. He was getting his jeans on and his button up shirt. He pulled on his cowboy boots which matched his dad's. Then put his hat on.

Miley got up and helped Buddy with the puppies. Max smiled at Krystal and went to her. He took off his hat and ran a hand through his hair. He then put his hat back on and went back to the kitchen

Krystal went to quickly get dressed. She pulled on her white riding pants, panties, her bra, a black t-shirt, and her old English riding jacket. She pulled on her riding boots. Then helped the dogs with the puppies before carrying the basket to the living room. James was sitting on the couch ready to go.

Max grabbed the picnic basket and carried it to the living room. He smiled at his wife and went to her. He kissed her lips and smiled. "Let's get going." he said smiling. Miley followed Krystal to the living room.

Buddy ran out to the truck. James walked to the truck. Krystal smiled softly and knew she probably wouldn't even have his kids again. But, she nodded and carried the puppy basket out to the truck and put it in the truck bed. Buddy was there already.

Miley ran to the truck and jumped into the truck bed. Max wlaked outside to the truck and locked the door behind him. He walked to the truck and opened the backdoor for James. He picked him up and put him in. He buckled James's seatbelt and opened the passenger door for Krystal.

Krystal got in the truck and sighed. She was thinking about something. James was ready to go ride Marley today. Buddy nosed the puppies to make sure they were okay.

The puppies were okay and Miley gently licked them. Max smiled and closed her door. He went to the driver's side and got in. He buckled his seat belt and clsoed the door. He started the truck and backed it out. He headed to the barn
