Working their horses(James)

She parked the truck and got out. She put on her protective vest and waited for James to get out

James jumped out and pulled on a protector for between his legs. His horses sometimes liked to kick him there and then whinnie about it.

She walked into the barn where she was created by three whinnies from her three horses. She smiled and walked to her first horse, her three year old thoroughbred mare, New Hope. She went to the mare and Hope nuzzled her owner's shoulder. Her other two horses, Shooting Star and Star Bright whinnied. "Easy, you two. I'm going to ride Hope and then Star and then Bright." she said. She grabbed Hope's halter and leadrope. She entered the mare's stall and slipped on her halter and clipped on her leadrope. She lead the mare out of her stall and clipped her to the crossties. Shooting Star was her two year old chestnut thoroughbred colt and Star Bright was her two year old bay thoroughbred filly. She started to run a brush through Hope's blood red bay coat.

James went to Speedy Sunday and his other two horses. He had to feed them before he could do anything. He got the right amount of feed for them and once Speedy Sunday finished he led the horse from it's stall to groom him. He started to brush out his coat.

Once she was done brushing her coat, she picked the mare's hooves and ran a comb through her mane and tail. She put her grooming stuff away and grabbed the mare's exercise saddle and bridle. She tacked up the mare and wrapped her legs. She grabbed her helmet and crop. She put her helmet on and unclipped the crossties from the mare and waited for James.

James finished and got Speedy Sunday saddled. The horse was wanting to go. He threw up his head and nickered to Carolyn. James pulled his vest on and his helmet. He didn't ever use a crop on horses. He unclipped Speedy Sunday and was ready to go.

She smiled. "Let's go get these guys worked." she said. She didn't use a crop on the gentle three year old blood red bay mare, Hope but she used it on her two year olds, Star and Bright. She started to lead the mare to the track
