Working their horses(James)

She led New Hope and she mounted the mare. She waited for James and the mare was pulling on the reigns. The mare pranced in place and snorted. "Easy girl." she said. She patted the mare's neck

James mounted Speedy Sunday and held him still. The stud was wanting to go. But, James held him back waiting for Carolyn to go onto the track first.

She saw James and she guided Hope onto the track. She started to trot the mare around the track to warm her up. She was planning on racing the mare in the Triple Tiara, which was the filly Triple Crown.

He followed her onto the track. Speedy Sunday was trotting in circles as he normally spooked when trotting around the track to much. The stud always spooked near the finish which almost caused James pain each time.

She leaned slightly forward in the saddle and urged the mare into a canter. She then urged the mare into a slow gallop and the mare started to slow gallop.

Speedy Sunday was tapped into a canter and then a gallop. The stud raced down the track. He loved running around it just not trotting around it. It made it harder on the horse to do anything. James moved with him easily.

She smiled and when she got to the pole where she was going to start the mare's breeze. She leaned forward all the way in the saddle. She urged the mare into a racing gallop and the mare started to race down the track at a racing gallop.

James tapped Speedy Sunday into a racing gallop. The stud race down the track after Carolyn and New Hope.

She looked under her arm and saw James and Speedy Sunday. She looked forward and asked the mare to increase her gallop. The mare snorted and increased her speed.

He tapped Speedy Sunday again. The stud lurched forward at high speed. He caught up to Carolyn and stayed right beside her. He wasn't slowing down or speeding up just yet.

The mare stayed at a fast pace next to him and Carolyn smiled. The one thing that James didn't know about the mare's breeding is that she is the defended of Seabiscuit and War Admiral. She trained the mare to run like Seabiscuit did. She waited for the right moment and the mare gave a small snort letting her owner know that she was ready. "Are you ready, Hope?" she asked the mare and the mare snorted. She glanced over at James and smirked. "See you at the finish line." she said. She let the mare go into her super drive and the mare snorted and switched leads. She was now flying and she flew into the lead ahead of James and Speedy Sunday. The mare continue to increase her lead to two lengths in front of the colt. She hoped that the mare could hold the lead and the mare continue to increase her speed. She also increased her lead to three lenghts in front of Speedy Sunday. She saw the finish line ahead of them and she hoped the mare could stay in the lead in front of the colt. The three year old mare was doing well in this little race against the four year old colt.

James suddenly used his crop which he never used before on an animal. Speedy Sunday burst into an all out racing bolt with the hind legs moving like the colt was jumping. The stud was catching up yet again at this speed but knew if he was tapped again he'd speed up to a speed no one knew about and win it.

The mare snorted in surprise and Carolyn got surprised. She let the mare increase her speed and the mare held her pace next to the colt but she knew that the mare couldn't keep up with the same pace as the four year old colt. The mare's nose was now at the stallion's neck as they flew under the wire in second place. She slowed Hope down to an easy canter

James slowed Speedy Sunday to a canter. The stud threw up his head and called out. He was happy. James rubbed the stud's neck and looked over to Carolyn. "That was fun," he said.

She smiled and patted the mare's neck. "Yes, it was. Hope is ready for the Triple Tiara races." she said smiling. Hope snorted and flickered her ears

"I'll have to teach you that last pace I had Sunday do," he said. He knew Sunday wasn't going in the triple crown until next year to give him a few more races to win.

She nodded and patted the three year old mare's neck. She slowed her down to a walk. She walked the mare next to Sunday.

"Hmm, we have more horses to work. I also have that new stud to time on this track," he said. He rubbed Sunday and slowed him to a walk.

She nodded and stoped the mare near the railing. She dismouted and started to lead the mare to the barn. She was going to work Start Bright, her two year old filly and then Shotting Star, her two year old colt.

James jumped from Sunday's back and lead him to the barn. He would work What Goes Up next and then Kyos Fargo before starting to train Racing Stripes.

She clipped the mare to the crossties and untacked her. Once the mare was untacked and groomed. She put the mare back in her stall and led out her prancing two year old filly, Star Bright. She clipped the filly to the crossties and started to groom her.

James put Sunday away before getting Bat. He started brushing out her coat.

Once she finished grooming the mare and she started to pick the mare's hooves. She finished grooming the mare and then she started to tack the filly.

James saddled Bat in racing gear. The mare loved racing in her gear. Her coat went with her nickname more than her show name. Bat called out and flicked her tail.

Star Bright snorted and flickered her ears. She unclipped the filly from the crossties and looked at James. "Let's go work these guys." she said. She lead the prancing filly to the track.
