Working their horses(James)

She nodded and started to walk to the track. She leaned against the rail

He swung up onto the stud. Stripes walked onto the track calmer than any race horse before. They stopped at the inside rail. James glanced over as he fixed his stirrups, gloves, helmet and reins. He was ready to go. He clicked his tongue. Stripes leaped forward into a gallop. He didn't seem to need a warm up as he had been running in a pen all morning.

She watched James and Stripes gallop around the track

James could feel power in Stripes. He clicked his tongue. Stripes picked up the pace. The black and white stud raced down the track at a super drive. But, he still had more in him.

She continue to watch both horse and rider.

James kept Stripes at the Super Drive around the track. Stripes stayed at the super drive to see if Carolyn would be impressed.

She was impressed at this speed and she continue to watch them

James finally tapped Stripes. The striped stud broke right into a hyper drive. But, he had one more pace. But, stayed going around the far turn. He was loving this. James moved with him fast. He was a vampire and hyper drive was a little slow for him. But, the rocket speed he had was what Stripes used in everything.

She sighed softly and continue to watch James

James kissed at Stripes and suddenly lowered right down onto Stripes' neck. The stud lurched forward with power from his hind legs more than his front coming to the home stretch. The stud was at a vampire running speed. He was doing his world famous Rocket Speed. His mother had been faster than his father by far and it's where he got it from.

She continue to watch

They flew across the finish and Stripes skid to a halt. He turned with one move of James' hand. He walked over to Carolyn. The stud nickered and reached out to her. James dismounted and held him still. "He wants you to pet him," he said.

She smiled and gently petted his nose. "that was amazing." she said smiling.

Stripes leaned into her hand. "It was, he got the last speed from his dam. She was a zebra," he said. He could tell that Stripes was in love with her.

She smiled and looked at James. "While you cool him off I need to feed my horses." she said

"Okay. Maybe one day if you wish you can ride him in one of the races you enter," he said. He knew Stripes would love having her ride him. He started to lead Stripes to the barn.

She smiled and walked next to him. She went to the feed room and grabbe three buckets. She measured out her three horses' feed in the three buckets. She carried them to their stalls and she went to Hope's stall first. She fed the mare, who nickered a thank you to her. She then went to Star Bright's stall and feed the filly. The filly just snorted and so did Shooting Star when she fed him

He took Stripes to the shower after taking his saddle and bridle off. The stud had a read halter on. James just took the hose to the stud's sweaty coat. The stud shock the water off and gave a zebra call.

She smile and all three of her horses were fed. She sat down on a hay bale and sighed

Stripes was covered in a red blanket and put away. The stud would need sleep before a long day tomorrow with a trainer coming to work on a new speed. James walked to her. "Hmm, what should we do now," he asked.

She looked up at him. "I don't know. Maybe we can go and visit Stefan and Elena." she said

"Or they can come over for a party. It is Elena's birthday today," he said. He even had something hidden in their home for Elena.

She smiled and got up. "that sounds like a really good idea. Lets go home so we can get the house ready." she said smiling.

"Hmm, okay. I'll just give my horses more feed," he said. He went and quickly got four buckets filled with feed and put them in his four stalls. Then he walked to her and took her hand.

She held his hand and led him to his truck.
