Fun Everybody (Rachel, Max)

Edward parked the truck and shut it off. Trigger jumped out. He spotted a funny looking horse. He barked at it. Edward got out and saw the horse to. He knew James must have a new horse.

Rachel got out of the truck and went to the backseat. She opened the door and Britey opened her door. She got out and Rachel picked up Zach. She closed the door and so did Britney. She looked at Edward and smiled. Luna jumped out and stood next to Trigger.

"James bought a new horse. It's in the round pen. It's an odd colored horse too," he said. He left the basket and blanket in the truck bed for now. Trigger was barking at the colored horse. It made a zebra call back at the dog.

She looked and saw the horse. "I think thats a zebra." she said. She then looked at Zach. "Do you want to go see mommy's horses or go see the foals?" she asked Zach. Britney stood next to her daddy

Zach giggled. "Yeah," he said. He wanted to go see the horses. But, Trigger suddenly took off running towards Spike's stall. Edward looked at Britney. "Stay with your mom," he said. He ran after Trigger.

Britney nodded and Rachel looked at Edward's back with a worried look on her face. She then sighed. "Lets go see the foals." she said. She walked to the mare's barn and Britney followed her. They got to the mare's barn and were greated by a whinny from Vanilla and two foally whinnies for Spike's Pride and Angel's Princess. She smiled and walked to Vanilla and Pride's stall first. Vanilla went to the stall door and pricked her ears up. Pride stood next to his mom and looked at his owner. Rachel was planning on giving Pride to Edward as a gift and she smiled. Vanilla gently lowered her head and gently pressed her nose into Zach's stomach. Britney smiled and Princess let out another whinny.

Zach giggled and petted Vanilla gently.

Edward knelt beside Spike who wasn't moving. Trigger laid down and knew Spike had died in the night. A snake bite was on his leg and a dead snake was laying in the corner of Spike's stall. Tears slid down Edward's face. Trigger pawed at the stud.

Vanilla turned her head towards the main barn when she had felt that something was wrong and she let out and mournful whinny. Rachel looked towards the main barn and she started to worry. She carried Zach to the main barn and Britney followed. When they got to the main barn, Dreamer put her head over the stall door and whinnied. Rachel put Zach down on a hay bale. "Stay here and don't move." she said. She looke at Britney. "Stay with your brother." she told her and Britney nodded. She went to Spike's open stall and saw Spike's body. She gasped and put a hand to her mouth. She looked at Edward and went to him. She knelt down next to him and put her arms around him. Luna stayed with the kids.

Mac parked his truck and got out. He went to the passenger side and opened it for Krystal. Miley stayed in the bed of the truck with the puppies.

Edward was crying hard. He had loved that horse so much. "Rachel, why did this have to happen. I thought he knew better. He has a colt that he left behind. He probably left Vanilla heart broken," he said. Trigger was licking the still bleeding wound on Spike's let. But ran to get Edward's vet bag before running back.


Krystal got out and got James out. Buddy would stay with Miley and the puppies.

She continue to hold him in her arms and she kissed the top of his head. "I don't know, love. I mean at least Pride isn't an orphan foal like Princess is. I'll leave you alone to mourn." she said softly. She got up and left the stall and went to Dreamer's stall. She led the mare out and tacked her up. She didn't wait for Krystal to get here and she walked to mare out of the barn. She put her helmet on and vest. She mounted the mare and walked her away from the barn and to the cross country field. She urged the mare to trott and then canter. She cantered the mare to the cross country jumps. As she started to work the mare over the cross country jumps, it started to rain.

Max wnt to Krystal and saw Rachel riding. He then went into the barn holding Keystal's hand. He saw Spike's door open and he looked at Krystal. "Krystal, go be with Edward. I'll hold James. I think that something happened." he said.

Krystal went to Spike's stall. Trigger and Edward were working on Spike's leg. The poor horse was in pain. His heart had started back up hearing Edward crying. Edward administered anti-venom with Krystal's help then wrapped the wound. Spike slowly got up and snorted. He was ill. But, he was able to stand. "Thanks, Krystal," he said. She nodded and left him with Spike. "Max, Spike was bitten by a snake. But, he's okay," she said.

Max nodded. "Krystal, I saw Rachel riding to the cross country field and it started to rain." he said. Britney looked at Zach and then looked at James. Rachel urged the mare into a slow gallop and they took the first jump. They cleared it and galloped to the next jump. It started to rain harder now.

"I'll go after her. Keep an eye on the dogs and James," she said. She threw herself onto Zimbro and galloped towards the cross country course. The stud was galloping faster from his racing training.

Edward left the stall leading Spike and lead him to the other barn to see Vanilla and his colt.

He nodded and watched the dogs and the kids. He watched Edward lead Spike and he noticed that Edward didn't to seem to worry about the fact that his wife was taking Dreamer over the jumps in the heavy rain. He sighed.

Rachel and Dreamer had cleared most of the jumps. It started to thunder and the mare spooked violently. She bolted and Rachel lost a stirrup. She tried to slow down the mare but she wouldn't listen to her. The mare bolted to the next jump. The mare saw the jump and she refused the jump sending Rachel flying over the jump and landing on the ground hard. She rolled a little and laid still. She was unconscious and she didn't break her neck. Dreamer reared and whinnied. The mare still spooked turned around and bolted back to the barn. The mare finally stopped at the barn and her sides were heaving. The mare whinnied and reared. She landed on all fours and reared again. The rain was coming down harder.

Max heard the whinny and looked at the barn's enterance and saw Dreamer rearing. The mare was looked spooked and he looked at Edward. He hoped that Edward saw the rearing and riderless mare. He couldn't leave the kids alone and he wanted to go and calm the spooked mare down. Dreamer landed back on all fours and she reared on last time. She landed on all fours and stood there. She saw Edward and Spike. She let out a whinny letting Spike know what had happened. It thunder again and the mare spooked in place. She pinned her ears back and did a half rear.

Krystal had seen this. She halted Zimbro at the jump and hopped off. She ran to Rachel. "Rachel, wake up. Come on, Edward is probably worried sick," she said. She had seen Dreamer heading back to the barn.

Edward jumped up and let Spike into Vanilla's stall for now. He whistled out to Echo. The mare ran around to him and slide to a halt in front of Chest's stall. Edward threw himself on knowing her being near Chest was bad when she was in full heat right now. "Max, watch the kids and the dogs. I'm going out there. Krystal probably went after her. A storm is hitting. Zimbro isn't good with storms either. They both could be in danger. I'll be back," he said. He tapped Echo and the mare ran out of the barn and into the cross country area.

She moan softly and her whole body hurt. She slowly opened her eyes and winced in pain. "My body hurts." she wispered in pain. The rain wa hiring her hurting body and getting her soaken wet. She was drenched from the rain and she was shivering. Her whole body hurt and she think that she broke something after hiting the ground.

Max nodded and stayed with the kids. Dreame had calmed down and walked in the barn to where the kids and Max were.

Krystal knelt down before hearing Echo's worried call. She knew Edward was coming. "We're going to get you to the barn and take you to the hospital. But, what hurts the most," she said. Zimbro was starting to freak out in the storming weather.

Edward tapped Echo faster and the mare bolted with her tail raised. She was in heat but couldn't with with Chest until Rachel was back at the barn.

She closed her eyes. "I don't know. Right now my whole body hurts and I'm cold." she said softly. She glanced over with her eyes and saw Edward coming on Echo.

Max slowly walked to Dreamer and took the mare's reigns. He took care of the mare and gave her a quick bath. He cooled her off and put her in her stall. He went back to the kids and looked at them.

Edward jumped from Echo. He went to Rachel. "Krystal ride back and get Max to help you with the wagon. We need it to get her back to the barn. Go now," he said. He took Rachel's hand and held it while he gently kissed her forehead.

Krystal mounted Echo and took Zimbro. She galloped them back to the barn. She jumped off. "Max get two horses hocked to Edward's wagon. Get the kids on it. We have to help get Rachel back. I'll let Echo in with Chest because they said they were going to breed them anyways," she said. Zimbro spooked and reared and stuck out at Krystal by accident before settling down.

Max nodded and went to Krystal. "Are you okay?" he asked worriedly. He was going to use Spirit and Bear. They were both great horses to use. "I'll go get the wagon ready." he said. He went to Spirit's stall and lead him to the wagon and hooked him to the wagon. He then got Bear and did the same thing. Both horses were ready and Max went back into the barn. He looked at Jame and Britney. "Go to the wagon." he said. Britney noded and walke to the wagon. He picked up Zach and carried him. He put Zach and the Britney into the wagon. He waited got James and he looked at Krystal.

Rachel smiled softly at him. "I was so stupid taking Dreamer on to the course while it was raining." she said softly.

"Shh, it's okay. I told Krystal what to do. She'll put Echo with Chest for now. Seeing as we were going to breed them anyways," he said. He kissed her cheek softly hoping it wasn't bad.

Krystal unsaddled both horses and put Echo in with Chest. Echo quickly started to tease Chest to get him to mount her. She then put Zimbo away and went to the wagon. "Max, I'm fine. Let's go," she said. She would have Max drive the wagon.

He put James in the wagon and went to the front. He lifted the reigns and urged both Bear and Spirit to canter. They cantered to the cross country field. Chest snorted and went behind Echo. He mounte her and thrust into her. Rachel smiled softly and closed her eyes. She didn't know what was broken, all she knew that her whole body hurt

Edward leaned down again and hoping to take her pain away for a few minutes he kissed her lips. He wanted her to stay with him.

Krystal held onto Britney and Zach. Echo grunted and stood under Chest's weight. James watched the area in his rain coat. Krystal had wrapped herself in a blanket while holding Britney and Zach on her lap to keep them from getting sick.

Max finally stopped Bear and Spirit near Edward and Rachel. "Edward. Put her in the wagon." he said. He was wearing his rain coat. He wore his cowboy hat and looked at him. Rachel gently kissed him back and opened her eyes.

Edward gently lifted Rachel. He hoped he wasn't hurting her. He laid her in the wagon before climbing up and putting blankets over her and putting her head onto his lap.
